Rachel's research, writing, and lecturing is interdisciplinary drawing on moral philosophy, social psychology, Christian theology, and the economics of religion. Interdisciplinary scholarship results in nuanced understandings of human agency, morality, social interactions, and concepts of the sacred. Rachel earned her doctorate in philosophy at the University of Chicago where she worked with Alan Donagan and Stephen Toulmin. Her current research focuses on moral agency, personal integrity, and conscience.
